Japan intends to use Quantum Cryptography to secure its communication

The Japanese government has requested to invest 300 million Yen in quantum cryptography so that it can be made functional by 2027 and tested in the year 2022. This governmental move drives to invest in a space-based security system so that Japan secrets can be kept safe.

The laser-based QKD system will be used either by the satellites or by the aircrafts that are capable of high-altitude flights. (Japan News)
