Swiss Quantum Hub (SQH) is proud to welcome three new scientific advisors who join our Advisory Board and provide their outstanding skills and experience to our team, our members and the start-ups participating to our accelerator program.

Prof. Anna Fontcuberta i Morral

Head of Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials (EPFL)

Since 2008, Prof. Anna Fontcuberta i Morral leads the Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials at EPFL. Her research focuses on the exploration of novel semiconductor structures for next generation energy harvesting and computing technologies. Before EPFL, she was group leader at the TU Munich, postdoc at CalTech. She holds a PhD in Materials Science from Ecole Polytechnique (France) and a diploma in Physics from U. Barcelona. Among her prizes are the EPS Emy Noether prize in Physics, the ERC Starting Grant and the SNSF Consolidator Grant.

Mr. Philippe Duluc

Chief Technology Officer for Big Data & Security (Atos)

Graduated from École Polytechnique (France), Philippe Duluc started as an Armament engineer, for Ministry of Defense and for Prime minister (SGDSN, ANSSI). After 20 years serving the French public administration, he joined the private sector, first as head of security for the Orange group, then as head of Bull’s cybersecurity activities. He is now CTO of Atos Big Data & Security, and supervises the program Atos Quantum. Former advisor to the European for Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), he is particularly interested in the scientific and technical fields of digital transformation: cryptography, cyber defense, advanced computing, big data, artificial intelligence and quantum technologies.

Dr Julien Levallois

Manager of the Science Innovation Hub (University of Geneva)

Julien Levallois was educated at the Université de Tours (France). He holds a Master and obtained in 2008 his Ph.D in Condensed Matter (Quantum Physics) at the Université Paul Sabatier de Toulouse (France) under the supervision of Dr. Cyril Proust and Dr. Kamran Behnia. The subject was the study of the normal state of high-Tc superconductors (HTcS) under extreme conditions as low temperature and high magnetic fields.

After post-doctoral studies in the laboratory of Prof. Dirk van der Marel at University of Geneva – optical spectroscopy studies of HTcS – he joined the Geneva Creativity Center in 2014 and Unitec, the TTO of the University of Geneva, in 2017. Since April 2019, he is also the manager of the Science Innovation Hub, the pre-incubator of the Faculty of Science.
