Q-CTRL raised $15 Million to reduce errors in Quantum Computing

The Australian-based Q-CTRL announced a $15 million series A funding round with Square Peg Capital and Sierra Ventures joining existing investors Horizons Ventures, Main Sequence Ventures, and Sequoia Capital. 

After years of research at the University of Sydney, CEO Michael Biercuk founded Q-CTRL in November of 2017. The company builds what he calls “quantum firmware,” which is aimed at applying principles of sensing and feedback to quantum computing hardware in order to reduce error and improve efficiency.
